Brain Busters!

Hello Mrs. G's Musical Machine!

This week I'm going to be testing your musical brains! Try your best to figure out these musical clues, each one adds pictures together to create a musical vocabulary word, type of music, or song.

For example:

                                                              Cow + Bell = Cowbell!

When you think you have all the answers, send them to me in an email, please don't post in the comments, as I don't want to spoil the fun for everyone! My school email address is: agillette@sayresd.org

Happy Guessing!

Do you like it?

After you have listened and analyzed color in the glyph below based on what you heard! If you want to leave a picture of your finished product in the comments below I would love to see them!!!

Mr. Maraca goes down under!

Hello my music kiddos!

I would like to introduce you to Mr. Maraca! Mr. Maraca is a friend of mine that likes to visit around the world and bring back pictures, and information about the places he's visited.

This time, Mr. Maraca is in Australia! Please check out the powerpoint below, and see what things you can learn about Australia's music, culture, and food!

 Australia!!!!!!!
I find it impossible to learn about Australia and not talk about the Kangaroo! When researching about them I learned that there were over 50 different kids of Kangaroos and they range in size!
The Aboriginal (Aboriginies) people were the first inhabitants of Australia. Part of their culture was using music during their "dream time".  The music would signify different things such as animals, weather, events etc.

If you have a chance, listen to this didgeridoo music! It's amazing!
